 How to clean a Computer        It is a good habit to keep our computer clean. Points to remember:        We need to make sure  that  we shut down the computer and turn off the power supply before cleaning  the computer. Cleaning the Monitor:      Use a moist cotton cloth to clean the Monitor.Then clean it with a dry cloth.Do not spray or pour water directly on the Monitor as it may affect the display.           Cleaning the Keyboard:    Use a dry brush to clean the Keyboard.       Cleaning the Mouse:       Use a moist cotton cloth to clean the mouse from the top and bottom. Then clean it with a dry cloth.     Cleaning  the Keyboard:      Use a moist cotton cloth to clean the CPU cabinet. Then clean it with a dry cloth.   

How to start a Computer??  Step:1      Turn on the power supply button.  Step:2     Turn on the CPU power button.  Step:3     Turn on the Monitor power button.  Now we can view a screen  with small pictures on the Monitor.  The screen is displayed on the Monitor is called Desktop.  The small pictures displayed on the desktop is called Icons.  How to shutdown a Computer??  Step:1     Click  the  windows Start button which is shown  in the Desktop.  Step:2 Click Power  and  Click  Shut down. The shutting down message appears on the screen. The Monitor then turns blank.  Step:3  Switch off the power button on the monitor.  Step:4  Switch off the CPU  power button.  Step:5  Switch off the power supply.

 Introduction to  Mouse Computer Mouse:     It  got it's name from the animal Mouse. This is because they both look similar. The Computer mouse's wire looks similar to the animal mouse's tail.  INTRODUCTION  TO CPU                                   Basic  Diagram of CPU  CPU performs basic arithmetic and logical operations, controlling operations and input /output operations specified by the instructions in the program. Main components  of CPU  are Arithmetic  & Logical Unit,Control Unit and Memory Unit. Arithmetic &Logical Unit  ALU:       It  performs basic arithmetic functions  and basic Logical functions  and stores the data. Control Unit:    It fetches the data from the memory and control the functions using ALU and other registers. Memory Unit:   It  stores the input and output data.

  Main parts of a Computer: 1.CPU 2.Monitor 3.Keyboard 4.Mouse CPU: Central Processing Unit It  is like the brain of a computer. It controls all the other parts of the computer and makes them work together. CPU has Power On and Power Off button. It is used to turn on and turn off the Computer.  Monitor: Monitor is a device that displays information.  Monitor is like a TV screen. We can view our work on the monitor and play games on the monitor. We can read and watch movies.  Keyboard: Keyboard is used to type information.  Keyboard is made of small several buttons called keys. Different keys on the keyboard have different uses. Whatever we type is displayed on the Monitor.  Mouse: Mouse is used to select objects on the screen.  It is called a mouse because of it's shape and the wire attached to it which looks like a mouse tail. When we move the mouse and look at the screen, we will see a small moving arrow. This arrow is called the pointer. 

  Types of computer Types of Computer 1.Desktop 2.Laptop 3.Tablet Desktop  They are large in size and have four main parts like monitor,CPU,Keyboard and mouse.Desktop Computers are kept on the desk permanently.  Laptop They are smaller than the desktop and light enough for us to carry around.We can keep on our lap . Tablet They are smaller and lighter than laptops.Tablet have a touch screen which allows us to type and select items on the screen.
